This Hanuman idol though installed straight has somehow turned to the side(it's left) facing the seaside.

There was actually a reason as to Why the Lords statue turned and faced the sea.
Close to this temple was a another statue of another god. I am guessing it was either a Lord Muthappan statute, Madurai Veeran or Veerabhadran. There was a puja done a long time ago, for that deity statue. The offering for these god consisted of meat offering or Todi.
That is why legends say that Lord Hanuman turned his face to the sea as he is a strictly vegetarian God. There is even proof that the Lord Hanuman's statue REALLY did turned. A british tourist once came to this temple many many years ago and took a photograph of Lord Hanumans statue. It was facing straight. A few years later when this same british tourist came and took photos he was shocked to see that The Lords Statue now faces the sea. It really did moved.
There is also legend stating that there is a Footprint of Lord Hanuman atop one of the Hills near the Lighthouse area in PD. But the Malaysian authorities has now barred entry to this place. I guess in fear of National religion interests.
Thanks for the info lava.
