Sri Maha Kaaliamman Temple, Brickfields

This 150 year old Sri Maha Kaaliamman Temple is located beneath an 'Arasamaram' tree along Jalan Berhala,Brickfields, Kuala Lumpur. It is exactly opposite the famous Karpaga Vinayagar temple.
About 150 years ago a small shrine was installed at this spot by settlers from Madurai and today it is frequented by devotees who have lived in Brickfields for generations. An annual festival is held some time in August and goats are sacrificed as offerings a few metres away from the temple, followed by a grand feast or 'annathanam' at the periphery of the temple(under tents).
