A brief history of the Sri Kandasamy Kovil, Kuala Pilah

1896 - A Vel was placed by a Mr Viswanatha Mudaliar at the present site which was then a 1,253 acre coconut plantation.

First Kumbabishegam -1.6.1907 (Date written on Thruvachy of Vel in Athimoolam)
Second Kumbabishegam- 1930 (A woodan Kalasam installed at the Athimoolam)
Third Kumbabishegam - 1950 (Cement building erected)
 Fourth Kumbabishegam   - 1964 (Moolastana Kopuram built)
Fifth Kumbabishegam- 1980 (Front Mandapam was built and repairs done along with the repainting of Kopuram)
Sixth Kumbabishegam - 1988 (The entire temple was rebuilt according to Agamic tradition)
