This temple has been in existence since 1905.Founded by the PWD Staffs when Malayan Railways built the railway lines along Kuala Lumpur – Ipoh route it became prominent after March 1928 when the British started to build the National Leprosy Control Centre Hospital in 1928 with an Indian workforce from India. From 1928 the government land and the reserve land in Sungei Buluh area (starting from the Sungei Buluh railway station until the NLCC Hospital) belonged to the Hospital administration. A one mile buffer zone was created to prevent the public from coming in contact with the patients. Sungei Buluh Hospital NLCC was set-up to ease the load of the Pulau Jerejak Leprosy Hospital which was overcrowded. Under the guidance and blessings of...
